Tottenham Hotspur Home Shirt 2009/10 In 1882 the Hotspur Football Club was formed by grammar school boys from the bible class at All Hallows Church. However in 1884 the club was renamed to Totenham Hotspur. By 1899 they moved to their permanent home of White Hart Lane which now holds 36,310. Spurs have a very successful history and in 1960-61 were the first club to win a league and cup double. They have won the FA Cup 8 times and the league cup 4 times.Their major European success' came when they won the UEFA Cup in 1972 and 1984, and the Cup Winners Cup in 1963. With new signings in the summer such as Peter Crouch, Harry Redknapp will be looking to improve on last seasons position of 8th.
